Newcastle linked with January moves for FOUR Arsenal players by surprise report

Newcastle United have been linked with FOUR Arsenal players in a recent report by the Mirror.

Newcastle are expected to be the busiest club of the January transfer window as their cash-rich Saudi owners desperately scrap to avoid relegation to the Championship.

The signing of Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid is also understood to be signed and sealed, with Fabrizio Romano giving it the here-we-go stamp of approval.

Eddie Howe will understandably be keen to add further reinforcements to his squad, though, especially those who are Premier League proven and so will find it easier to adapt.

According to the Mirror, that could see Newcastle target as many as four Arsenal players, with a Gunners quartet all understood to be of interest to the Magpies this month.

They are, as per the report, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Eddie Nketiah, Mohamed Elneny and Rob Holding.

It would be extremely unusual for Newcastle to be successful in their reported efforts to recruit multiple Arsenal players in a single window, but there is every possibility one of those four will be at St. James’ Park before the end of January.

Even with his recent struggles in mind, you imagine that Aubameyang would be top of the Newcastle supporters’ wish list…
