What a player this guy was for the Toon Army, Cheick Tioté sadly passed away this time five years ago at only 30 years of age.
On 5 June 2017, Tioté died in Beijing, China, after suffering a cardiac arrest in training. Demba Ba was amongst the first to pay tribute to the Ivorian via social media, and soon afterwards, many of his former Newcastle teammates followed suit.

Whether it be for club or country this guy for the guys and it says a lot about the man that five years on, Newcastle United fans remember him with great fondness. We send our thoughts to his friends and family on this difficult day as we remember him.
