Kieran Trippier to Newcastle United has been given the here-we-go stamp of approval by Fabrizio Romano.
Trippier, who departed Tottenham Hotspur in search of a new challenge at Atletico Madrid, was linked with a return to England over the summer as Manchester United showed an interest.
The deal never materialised, leaving Trippier stuck in Madrid, but he has now seemingly secured his desired return to the Premier League midway through the campaign.
According to the ever-reliable Fabrizio Romano, the England international is set to sign for Newcastle United in a deal worth an estimated £12m plus add-ons.

Newcastle’s new Saudi Arabian owners are expected to invest heavily in the squad this month in a desperate bid to save them from relegation to the Championship.
In Trippier, they have an international level full-back who is capable of playing on either side and will bring valuable experience to their leaky back-line.
It’s an excellent way for them to kick off their January business, but they will be well aware that further investment is required in order to save them from the drop.
