Jake Paul accused of rigging Anderson Silva win

Nate Diaz appeared to suggest that there was an element of rigging behind Jake Paul’s victory over Anderson Silva.

Paul defeated Anderson Silva via a unanimous decision on Saturday night in what was the biggest triumph in his boxing career to date.

It was a competitive fight in which both men traded blows. The same couldn’t be said about Jake’s previous fights with Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

In both the Askren fight and second Woodley fight, there were (unfounded) allegations made that Paul had paid his opponents to take a dive.

Silva certainly didn’t do that on Saturday night, despite being put on the floor in the eighth round of the contest by a stinging Paul right hand.

Still, as Paul said himself, if he were able to walk on water, people would criticise him for not being able to swim – his critics will always have something to say.

One of his avid critics, Nate Diaz, indeed had something to say after the Silva fight, too. On Twitter, Diaz appeared to suggest that Silva was another on the payroll…
