“The performance from Messi was a bit like going back in time. He was doing his clever running and drawing of defenders – there was a point where he drew four defenders and still managed to get past them!
“There were moments where I just thought “Oh, you’ve taken us back in time there, Messi.” It was amazing to see him just be a nuisance in his Messi way.”
Messi and Argentina will now face the Netherlands on Friday for a spot in the World Cup semi-finals.
