Chelsea’s new mega-money signing is on relatively low wages contrary to reports on social media.
The Ukrainian winger signed with Chelsea for an eye-watering £100 million last week.
It seemed certain that he was going to sign for Arsenal after the club were in talks with the young star for months. But just as a deal was almost over the line, Todd Boehly swooped in and secured Mykhailo Mudryk’s signature.

Reports were circulating that the Ukrainian was given a whopper contract of £200k per week but that’s not true.
According to The Athletic, Mudryk is on £97,000 a week.
That is still an incredible amount of money for an unproven young player to earn but it falls in line with the rest of Chelsea’s first team.
Considering he is on an 8-year contract, that is a pretty good deal in the long term.
Mudryk took part in his first training session today and could be fit for Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool on the weekend.

With the added benefit of some major first-team players coming back from injury, Chelsea could be a different beast in the second half of the season.
