Jose Mourinho has urged Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka to get the coronavirus vaccine in a rather bizarre Instagram exchange.
News broke earlier in the week that the Gunners midfielder had tested positive for COVID-19 while away on international duty with Switzerland.
A spokesperson for the Swiss FA then revealed that Xhaka had been advised to take the jab but decided against it.

Xhaka will likely be frustrated that personal medical details have been made public in this manner.
With it now being public knowledge that he has not yet been vaccinated against the coronavirus, Jose Mourinho felt it necessary to get involved.
Mourinho commented on one of Xhaka’s posts on Instagram, urging him to go and get himself jabbed.

Being vaccinated is a personal choice and nobody should be pressured into taking it if they are not comfortable.
That said, Mourinho’s intentions are pure and it probably wouldn’t be a bad idea for Xhaka to take his advice.
