Jose Mourinho went on one of his iconic touchline runs after AS Roma scored a stoppage time winner in his 1000th game in management.
Mourinho has been one of the most heavily criticised managers on the planet in recent seasons, with many questioning whether he is still capable of masterminding success in the manner he did prior.
We’re only three games into the season in Italy, but Mourinho and AS Roma sit top of the table, which serves as a message to those who have doubted him over the past few years.

Mourinho looked as though he was heading towards a frustrating draw with Sassuolo at the Stadio Olimpico last night, which is no way to mark your 1000th career game as a manager.
Substitute Stephan El Shaarawy had other ideas, and Mourinho absolutely loved to see it.

Mourinho not being manager of Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham could see him become the neutral’s favourite. What a career turnaround it’d be if he delivers success in Rome.
1000 career games in management is impressive in itself, especially considering the level he has worked at for the best part of 20 years. Mourinho is inarguably one of the finest managers ever.
