What a career this man had, Morne Steyn’s won 68 caps for the springboks scored 742 points and won British & Irish Lions Series x2, Currie Cup x2, Super Rugby x3, a Tri Nations and a Top 14. Steyn could play ten or full-back and was famous for his big and very accurate kicks at goal.
Steyn had decided to stay on and play with his club the Bulls but as far as International rugby is concerned the 37 year old is hanging up his boots and says he wants to spend more time with his family and friends. Morne Steyn played with Stade Français in the Top 14 in France for a several years before returning to his club the Bulls. Steyn leaves international rugby after a glittering career and owes the Springboks nothing.
