Moises Caicedo makes huge Brighton transfer decision amid Arsenal and Chelsea links

Moises Caicedo has made the decision to stay at Brighton and Hove Albion until 2027 after much speculation around his future.

The Ecuadorian midfielder was linked with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea in January, with Brighton turning down £70million and £55million bids respectively from the pair, with fans convinced something would materialise after Caicedo himself tweeted what looked like a thank you and goodbye message to the Brighton fans on deadline day.

Following the release of the message, the club banned him from training, before manager Roberto De Zerbi welcomed him back.

Now, it looks like any talk of a move away has been laid to rest with the Ecuadorian penning a new four-year deal at the Amex that includes a significant payrise, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The deal includes an option to extend for a further year, but that won’t rule out teams coming back in for him in the future should they be on the lookout for an impressive young midfielder.
