Due to his outlandish nature Perry, 29, often lands himself in hot-water but love him or hate him, one thing is for sure; the boy loves to bang.

After failing to string any kind of consistency together during a period which has seen the American brawler win just three of his last nine bouts, ‘Platinum’ has announced his plans to move up in weight.

Perry has competed in the welterweight division for his entire career but now has plans to compete at 15lbs heavier.

Taking to his official social media, the 29-year-old confirmed his plans by saying: “I would like to fight at middleweight 185lbs.”

Despite middleweight being one of the most stacked divisions in the UFC, Perry clearly has ambitions to bulk up and go on a title run.

The division, which is championed by Nigerian striker Israel Adesanya, also includes former champ Robert Whittaker and Paulo Costa.

Backing up his seriousness to compete in one of the biggest divisions in the promotion, Perry went on to immediately call-out three fights.

The American said: “There are three competitors that come to mind. Joaquin Buckley Kevin [Holland] and Darren Till.”
