Premier League official Mike Dean will make his return to refereeing this weekend after he took some time off following death threats.
According to the Daily Mail, Dean will take charge of the Premier League clash between Burnley and West Brom at Turf Moor this Saturday.
Dean asked to not be rostered for last weekends fixtures following death threats sent to him following following controversial red cards Dean issued to Southamptonβs Jan Bednarek and West Hamβs Tomas Soucek.
Both decisions were overturned and following a flood of personal and online abuse, Dean decided to take a step back and not referee last weekend.
Dean gave a red card to both players in separate situations after reviewing both incidents on VAR following pitchside advice to do so.
Deanβs family was also targeted with social media abuse and incidents of abuse have been reported to the police.
