Michael Owen took a hammering on twitter last night as he posted a picture trying to congratulate the young Tennis player Emma Raducanu for winning the BBC Sports Personality of the Year away. What a year the young woman had in winning the US Open and getting to the fourth round of Wimbledon and well done her a bright future ahead surely.
To mark the occasion Michael Owen decided to post a picture of himself winning the same away back in 1998 when he was of a similar age. Some of the replies underneath this are just top notch, people clearly took objection to the former Liverpool striker making Raducanu achievement about himself…
