The parody account on twitter of Jay from the hit show The Inbetweeners that use to be on Channel Four has responded to Michael’s Owen tweet saying that he is proud of his daughter’s performance on this summers Love Island.

Gemma Owen got all the way to the final and a lot of people across the UK and Ireland tune into one of the most watched shows every year. Gemma Owen might have lost, but she will no doubt cash in on brand endorsements over the new few weeks in particular.

We look forward to the start of the Premier League this week and no doubt we will se Michael Owen back on BT Sport to comment on some of the matches.

  1. Drivel like Love Island should not be on TV. It is not entertaining TV. In fact, lets have a Love Island with say fat Tracy from a council estate that has 4 kids from 5 different fathers and Steve and Dave, who need urgent teeth work and are addicted to meth and booze…….none of the aforementioned have been chosen from a modelling agency and all shop in Primark.

    1. Why shouldn’t it be on tv just because YOU don’t like it? I don’t watch it either but it’s just sheer arrogance to believe a program you don’t even watch shouldn’t be on the telly because you specifically aren’t interested.

Probably because it is drivel and even if you do like it, you know you shouldn’t really, it’s literally got no benefits at all and is tant amount to watching live gossiping and frolicking on the tele. To think the idiots that go on will make some (short lived may I add) money out of it is neither here nor there because in the grand scheme of things there’s as much chance of them committing suicide in the next few years than there is of them having millions in the bank and being happy.

        All these charities and even adverts now are showing how social platforms are effecting young children (especially girls) with the you have to be beautiful. This show only ever has stunning people on it. It completely slaps the other message across the face. Are only beautiful people entitled to love? They should put the ‘average Joe’ on the show
