Premier League ref Michael Oliver was spotted drinking with Newcastle United fans ahead of their clash with Manchester United on Monday night.
Newcastle held Man United to a 1-1 draw at St. James’ Park on the Monday Night Football show, with Allan Saint-Maximin’s superb first-half goal being cancelled out by a strike from Edinson Cavani in the second-half of the contest.
Newcastle supporters will no doubt see a draw with Man United as a good result considering the situation they find themselves in but will be well aware that the possibility to achieve a famous victory was on the cards for much of the game.
Nevertheless, it was a good night for everyone with any affiliation to Newcastle, including Michael Oliver, who was spotted having a beer with his fellow Magpies fans ahead of yesterday night’s game.
