The Miami Dolphins have surprised everyone this season, as Mike McDaniel’s reign as the franchise’s head coach could not have gotten off to a much better start.
From having faith to sticking with Tua as the starting quarterback to trading for Tyreek Hill from the Chiefs, everything seems to be going well for the team, who sit at 8-3 with the third-best record in the AFC.
Tua has come on leaps and bounds in the 2022 season, finding himself on 2,564 passing yards and 19 touchdowns despite missing three games with a concussion from weeks 4-6.

Now it has been revealed that the 24-year old leads the NFL in completion % with passes of 10+ yards downfield (67%) and also in % of pass attempts that travel 10+ yards downfield (43%), with no quarterback ever leading in both metrics since air yards were first tracked in 2006.

Stats don’t always tell the full story of an athlete’s performance, but judging by these, it seems Tua is coping just fine in the NFL as he continues to thrive in a team that is finally showing some belief in him.
