Mesut Ozil savagely trolls Tottenham in wake of Carabao Cup final defeat to Man City

Former Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil mocked Tottenham via Twitter last night in wake of their Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City.

While Gunners fans could understandably have frustrations with Ozil, mostly for the sheer about of cash they spent paying him to do absolutely nothing, he could never be accused of not caring about the club.

From day one at the Emirates, Ozil embraced what it meant to be a Gunner, repeatedly using social media as a means of demonstrating his affection for the North London giants.

Mesut Ozil loved Arsenal – even if Arsenal didn’t always love him.

Even though he has now departed, he clearly still holds Arsenal close to his heart, as following Spurs’ cup final defeat to Man City at Wembley on Sunday evening, Ozil tweeted this.

It’s the last thing that Spurs fans would have wanted after tasting defeat in the final, to have Ozil twisting the knife in, but something tells us that this’ll earn him some respect back in the red half of North London.
