Mesut Ozil talks about his next club, Wenger, Ronaldo, Messi and more in candid Twitter Q&A

Mesut Ozil has taken to Twitter to answer questions about pretty much everything as fans jump on the #AskMesut hashtag to get answers from the Arsenal player.

The killer question that is on everyone’s mind is where will Ozil go when his contract at Arsenal is over and when he was asked Will you continue your career as footballer after your contract at Arsenal end?’ he just came clean out and said ‘There are two countries I want to play football in before I retire: Turkey and USA. If I went to Turkey, I could only go to Fenerbahce.’

He’s also picked a side in the Ronaldo v Messi battle and it’s no surprise he’s picked Ronaldo as his favourite. Ozil played with Ronaldo for several seasons at Real Madrid and when asked Ronaldo or Messi?’ he replied: ‘Messi has proven himself to be one of the best ever in Spain, but Ronaldo was always the best in every country he’s played in!’

Ozil was also asked Do you miss wenger?’ which is understandable since Ozil’s Arsenal career took a swift downturn when the Frenchman left the Gunners. His response was:

Ozil also heaped praise on former Real Madrid team-mate Sergio Ramos calling him ‘The world’s best defender from my generation.’ The question came from Twitter follower @penggggirl who asked: @MesutOzil1088 Will sergio ramos go down as of the best defenders in history? Because i think he will.’ Ozil responded by saying: Yes, he’s been world class for over a decade – and what a leader he has become. His ambition and will to win is amazing. I would say he’s the world’s best defender from my generation.’

According to The Mirror Ozil is ready to make a move to Fenerbache and end his nightmare at the Emirates which has seen him left out the clubs Premier League and Champions League squads.

Turkish broadcaster NTVSpor claims the deal has been agreed, after Ozil was exiled in north London under Mikel Arteta.

Last month Fenerbahce congress member Murat Zorlu said he was “90 per cent sure” Ozil will make a move to Turkey in the January transfer window.

In an interview with Sport Digitale Zorlu said : “A source, who’s very well connected to the club has told me that Mesut Ozil is likely to become a Fenerbahce player during the next transfer window.

“I would say 90% he will join us in one month.”

Ozil’s contract is set to expire in the summer and Arsenal are desperate to get him off their wage bill after the World Cup winner signed a monster deal worth £350,000-a-week in Arsene Wenger’s final season.

Ozil moved to Arsenal in 2013 from Real Madrid for a then club record £42.5m and has gone on to make 254 appearances and scoring 44 goals.
