Don’t think because I’ve left Joey Bolton alone that you’re getting the same privilege. When the weather gets better feel free to have a scrap with me. Ars hole

Mel is a really talented presenter with great football knowledge but you do you.

I mean, this isn’t even a football error, it’s just mis saying a quote when under immense pressure

You’re actually dying for his attention, what a sad case

  1. Leave the blokes to comment on men’s sport and likewise, women for women’s sport! Simple! And that Gommersall woman is dreadful..

    1. Absolutely right, sky sports and the dreaded BBC have put all these women in the firing line to be humiliated by dare I say it MEN, women for women’s sport and men for men sport EASY, job done.

    2. That makes sense to us fans but tv shows think they have to be inclusive even if they know it’s spoiling the show 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤬🤬

    3. Hey Neanderthaler,
Why are you so ignorant and blatantly stupid in your comment about female sport commentators. The only think that should matter if they have something to say, something about the game, the ref, the players and the actions.
If he or she doesn’t do a good job, that try someone else. But the tv stations know what that are doing in attracting more and more viewers. And for the narrow minded like Joey Barton there is no time. He best return like 15 years in time. A lot has happened with football; female referees, female commentators, female board members, female coaches, female agents, female stadium speakers, female sponsors…. Embrace it, make the best of it and we all benefit

  2. The best thing about women commentators is the mute button. You do the math etc. Get women off mens football unless you are Abdo or Logan.

  3. What a load of rubbish. If you are good male or female you are good. Why do they have to be ex footballers ?
Some of the best managers were not great footballers.

    1. Well that’s unlikely, given you look like you’ve got the prowess of a eunuch. And you certainly look like you’ve never been ‘right’ about anything in your life.

  4. Strange to become a ‘Senior’ reporter, when she’s Never been seen before.
Colleagues who have worked hard for years Must be miffed ! .
    Who is she ?

    1. You clearly don’t watch sky much. She featured heavily on the Sundays supplement she’s been around for years.

  5. Have male pundits never made mistakes, mispronounced something or said the wrong thing on live tv then?
Anyone agreeing with Joey Barton’s misogynistic comments needs to remember we’re not living in Victorian times anymore. Remember when he tried speaking French? And you want associate yourself with anything that he says?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  6. I honestly don’t care who commentates on whatever sport as long as they are good at their jobs, but the problem is that so many of the ones that have been put in are absolutely awful. It is now “Positive Discrimination” gone mad.

  7. It doesn’t matter if male or female but the female pundits are rubbish,it’s spoiling the game for me

  8. I don’t like listening to women commentators on men’s football, there’s enough women’s football to commentate on, please bring back all men commentators.

  9. I’ve heard Owen say the most ridiculous things and your pulling her out over this, you need to give your head a wobble!
