Conor McGregor has insisted that he is not joking with his apparent intentions to buy Chelsea Football Club.
Roman Abramovich has publicly put Chelsea on the market in anticipation of sanctions from the UK government related to his alleged links to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
There has been a flurry of reports in recent days naming different billionaires and consortiums who could be in the running to buy the West London giants. Conor McGregor has been keen to align himself with the bidding.
The Irishman alone doesn’t have the necessary wealth to buy Chelsea, but with a little help from wealthy affiliates, it’s not impossible that he could put together a respectable bid.

He has once again taken to social media to reaffirm his desire to get the deal done and insists that there is no joking around when it comes to his intentions to eventually own a football club.

We would still deem it far-fetched that he could be involved in a takeover of a club of Chelsea’s size, but if we’ve learnt anything with Conor over the years, it’s to expect the unexpected…
