Conor McGregor’s head coach provides update on fighter’s leg break recovery

Conor McGregor’s head coach has revealed that the Irishman’s recovery from his horror leg break is now pretty much complete.

McGregor has not been in the octagon since snapping his leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.

Naturally, fans of the former two-weight UFC champion are keen to see him back in action as soon as possible.

Well, they may be in luck, with head coach John Kavanagh having revealed that the damage done to McGregor’s leg is near enough repaired.

“The physical stage of recovery is pretty much complete now, you have seen the posts [online].” (quotes via The Sun)

“He has been enjoying himself over Christmas but he is ready to get back to that serious phase of training and not enjoy the good life and get ready for another contest.”

It still remains unclear when we can expect McGregor to make his return to the UFC.

Who he could contend with upon making his return to the octagon is also anyone’s guess.

We’re sure that McGregor and Kavanagh have their ideas, but the fighter appears to be spending the bulk of his time in the pub at the moment.

Perhaps it would be safe to assume that he won’t be returning imminently.
