Conor McGregor has seemingly accepted an invitation from Michael Chandler to fight him at some point in the future.
Chandler was defeated by Justin Gaethje at UFC 268 on Saturday night, but the L on his record did his reputation no harm at all.
Both he and Gaethje went to war in the octagon in what was one of the best fights in the UFC in recent memory.
In wake of the fight, having left the venue in an ambulance, Chandler took to Twitter to share his desire to fight Conor McGregor.
The Irishman accepted the proposal and congratulated the American on what was a fight to remember.
I’m down at some stage for sure. Great fight the other night Mike, congrats!

The response from Conor was almost suspiciously classy. Chandler clearly earned his respect with his performance on the night.
McGregor needs to get himself fit and back in full training before he can think about who he fights next, but this is one to keep an eye on for the future.
