Brolly has previously dabbled in coaching with Antrim and Belfast club St Brigid’s, but he is now set to assume the role with the 2020 and 2021 Champions in the Mayo Senior Championship, joined by former Sligo player Dessie Sloyan.
The 55-year-old had graced our screens for a number of decades, making his opinion on the evolution of the sport abundantly clear, believing the sweeper and defensive approaches were killing the game; he may have decided to get involved with the Mayo club following the introduction of the new rules, which are hoped to make the sport a more attractive and enjoyable experience for the fans.
