Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has slammed ‘disrespectful and unsportsmanlike’ Lewis Hamilton for celebrating the British GP win after putting his title rival in hospital.
Hamilton was involved in a HUGE first lap clash with Verstappen, who was very fortunate to escape without serious injury after his car was left mangled.
Verstappen headed to hospital to undergo routine medical tests, while Hamilton raced on to overcome a 10 second penalty and win the British GP.

The triumph could prove to be considerable, with Hamilton closing the gap on the Red Bull driver to just eight points, with the deficit standing at 32 at the start of the race.
As you’d expect after a potentially pivotal win on home turf, Hamilton enjoyed every second of it in his celebrations after the race’s conclusion.

Having done so, though, he’s been branded ‘disrespectful and unsportsmanlike’ by Verstappen, who took to Twitter to bemoan the actions of the F1 legend.
Glad I’m ok. Very disappointed with being taken out like this. The penalty given does not help us and doesn’t do justice to the dangerous move Lewis made on track. Watching the celebrations while still in hospital is disrespectful and unsportsmanlike behavior but we move on pic.twitter.com/iCrgyYWYkm
