Shock Mauricio Pochettino report suggests Tottenham return could be on the cards

According to a pretty outrageous report by The Sun, Mauricio Pochettino is considering a sensational return to Tottenham.

Pochettino was sacked by Daniel Levy just a matter of months after guiding Spurs to the Champions League final, with the Argentine going on to take the Paris Saint-Germain job after Thomas Tuchel’s departure.

Although Pochettino was unable to guide PSG to Ligue 1 or Champions League glory, he did win two pieces of silverware in his debut campaign, his first as a manager, the Trophee des Champions and Coupe de France.

Despite that, The Sun report that Pochettino is unhappy at the Parc des Princes, and having been offered his old Spurs job back, he’s actually thought to be considering a return to North London.

The Sun note that Pochettino’s return would be enough to convince Harry Kane to stick around, which may well be Levy’s thinking behind pursuing a manager that he previously dismissed.

As much as Poch’s return would be a dream scenario for Spurs supporters, it’s difficult to imagine it actually materialising.

Pochettino has virtually unlimited funds in Paris, as well as having Neymar and Kylian Mbappe on his books. Why would he want to go back to being a nearly man at Tottenham?
