Nemanja Matic has taken to Instagram to reveal that he has defaced Bruno Fernandes’ locker at Carrington to troll both him and Cristiano Ronaldo.
There was controversy in the final minute of a World Cup qualifying clash between Serbia and Portugal on Saturday after officials failed to notice Cristiano Ronaldo’s shot crossing the line, with neither Hawk Eye nor VAR in use.
Ronaldo proceeded to lose the plot, throwing the captain’s armband to the ground out of fury and frustration before storming off the field of play.
Portugal’s 3-1 victory over Luxembourg yesterday night ought to have helped Ronaldo and his Portugal teammates calm down, but Man United midfielder Nemanja Matic isn’t prepared to let them forget anytime soon.
Matic has taken to his Instagram to reveal a print-out of an edited version of the incident, which moved the goal-line backwards to depict that the ball did NOT cross the line.
The big Serb has pinned it to Bruno Fernandes’ locker in the Carrington training rooms – something that we’re sure he’ll be delighted to discover upon his return from international duty.
