Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has been removed from FIFA 22 following his arrest on suspicion of rape and assault, reports the Mirror.

Greenwood is rated 78 on FIFA 22, his highest rating to date. It ranks him as one of the highest-rated U-21 players on the game, with the England international having very high potential in Career Mode.

As is reported by the Mirror, however, FIFA players will no longer be able to play with Greenwood in all offline game modes, with EA rolling out a squad update that removes the rape and assault-accused attacker.

Greenwood’s card will remain in FIFA Ultimate Team, with that now being the only game mode that football fans will be able to use the 20-year-old in. Elsewhere, he will disappear, effective immediately.

EA are the latest company to cut ties with Greenwood following his arrest. Nike have also announced that they are hitting the pause button on their deal with the player, while Man United are no longer selling his merchandise on their official store.
