The former Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill wasn’t happy with the line of questions while on Premier Sport this week.
The Derry native was asked about his time as Ireland manager and his handing of Declan Rice. Rice played three times for the Republic of Ireland, but only three friendlies, so he was full entitled to make the move to England.
The West Ham midfielder has turned out to be quite the player, see the discussion below;

“You can’t do that. I’ve just tried to explain to you. I must be speaking Swahili. That would’ve been sneaking him into the game because he knew the rules beforehand”
“In terms of wanting him to play for Ireland, of course we did, but in terms of him wanting to play for Ireland, different issue,”
