Arsenal have taken the lead over Everton on the stroke of half-time through midfield mastermind Martin Odegaard.
The Gunners, who have been in a rich vein of form as of late, suffered a setback in the form of a 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Mikel Arteta will have been hoping for a response from his players as they headed to Merseyside to take on Everton at Goodison Park this evening.
With merely a few seconds to go until the referee blew his whistle for half-time, Arteta has had his response in the form of the opening goal.

Kieran Tierney delivered a gorgeous ball into the penalty area from the left channel which fell delightfully onto the boot of Norwegian Odegaard.
The former Real Madrid man used the pace on the cross to direct the ball into the bottom corner and rippled the back of the net.
What a finish that is!
Just moments after having a goal wiped out, Everton go behind against Arsenal! 😬
