Martin Keown admits he is unsure whether Manchester United can win the quadruple after their League Cup victory.
United won their sixth League Cup yesterday as they beat Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley, with many now tipping United to win further competitions this season, but Keown gave his opinion on Talksport this morning as to why he thinks that may not happen.
“A lot of people are raving about United here, but let’s look who they’ve beaten to win this. Burnley at home, Charlton at home, Nottingham Forest and now Newcastle.
“People talking about quadruple winners, let’s have a look at this in six months’ time. Yes, they’ve got a really good manager who knows what he wants and some impressive players, but let’s calm down. It’s the only the League Cup.”
