The former South African hooker and prop John Smit was one of the people trying to get into the Stade Velodrome in Marseille last night. There was mayhem outside the group as a load of fans were stuck outside minutes before kick-off and to top it off the stadium ran out of beer at one stage. Nightmare stuff for the rugby supporters!

What a win that was for England last night in the heat in the south of France, it’s one that will give them a real boost for the rest of the tournament. Don’t rule England out of this tournament, the English always turn up and have a good history of performing in major tournaments.
