Neymar was on the winning side of tonight’s Trophée des Champions final between PSG and Marseille.
The Trophee des Champions is a final between the winners of France’s Ligue 1 and the winner of their cup competition the Coupe de France.
The game ended PSG 2-1 Marseille, Mauro Icardi and Neymar finding the back of the net for the Paris side with former West Ham man Dimitri Payet scoring for Marseille in the dying minutes but their comeback was unsuccessful.
This match was a highly anticipated clash with the sides having a fiery encounter earlier in the season when Neymar accused Marseille player Alvaro Gonzalez of racism.

Gonzalez denied the accusations and an investigation led to neither party being banned after their altercation. There is clearly still some bad blood there with Gonzalez hitting back at Neymar after tonight’s loss calling the Brazilian forward ‘trash’.
