Manchester United and England striker Marcus Rashford has identified who he thinks will be the next youngster to break into the United first team.

Rashford made the announcement on Twitter when a user named Donwil Fernandes asked the United no.10 ‘Which youngster in the academy you see coming up the ranks like you next?’

Typically footballers don’t respond to many comments but Rashford is known for being interactive with his followers and he responded by saying ‘Love what I’m seeing from Hannibal.

Hannibal is 18-year-old Hannibal Mejbri who arrived at United from AS Monaco for an initial fee of £5m in 2019, scoring four goals in 18 starting appearances for the Under-23s.

Young Mejbri isn’t the only youngster making waves at United’s academy as new boy Amad Diallo and Shola Shoretire have both been called up to first team training.

According to Metro, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford convinced club wonder-kid Shola Shoretire to ignore offers from some of Europe’s mega-clubs and to sign his first professional contract with United instead.

The 17-year-old winger who is currently at Manchester United had interest from European giants Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich and PSG.
