Marcos Rojo suffers injury in first training session with Boca Juniors

According to Argentine newspaper Olé, former Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has suffered an injury during his first training session with his new club Boca Juniors.

It’s being reported that the former Red Devil was shocked by the shear intensity of the session and he got injured ‘due to inactivity’ after a long spell on the sidelines.

Rojo’s last match for Manchester United was over a year and a half ago as the Argentina defender fell down the pecking order behind Luke Shaw and youngster Brandon Williams.

The 30-year-old joined the Old Trafford side in the summer of 2014 but has not featured for the club since November 2019 when he came on as a last-minute substitute in a 3-1 Premier League win over Brighton.

Rojo signed for the Boca Juniors at the end of the January transfer window after playing 122 times for United, scoring two goals.

Whilst in England Rojo we won the FA Cup, EFL Cup and Europa League during his time at Old Trafford.
