Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer almost made an absolute howler during his side’s victory over Dinamo Kyiv on Tuesday evening.
Bayern recorded their fifth consecutive win in the Champions League group stage via a wonderful overhead-kick by Robert Lewandowski and another from Frenchman Kingsley Coman.
The scores stood at 2-1 in the Bavarian’s favour when the full-time whistle blew, but they were fortunate to have taken all three points and not been cost the win by Manuel Neuer.
Neuer is renowned for his quality with his feet, as well as his hands, but that ability betrayed him as he looked to swipe the ball away from danger on Tuesday night.

The German international swung and missed the ball and could only watch helplessly as it trickled towards his goal-line. Thankfully, it hit the post.
It was a real let-off for Neuer. It would have been one of the most embarrassing mistakes of his career – mostly because he’s a man who makes very few!
