Manny Pacquiao says McGregor needs to ‘clean up’ before he will fight him

Manny Pacquiao’s representitive was speaking about the legendary boxer’s possible bout with Irish MMA star Conor McGregor with SunSport.

Their bout which seemed to be all but finalised has now been thrown into complete disarray as the Irishman was knocked out in the second round of his UFC fight with Dustin Poirier at UFC 257.

Sean Gibbons is the president of Manny Pacquiao productions and was speaking with the SunSport when he said:

“Very unfortunate, it looked like Conor looked past Dustin and got knocked out.

“Maybe he had the Senator on his mind. I think the demand for the fight is not there presently.

“Conor has some business to clean up and handle in the UFC.

“It’s a bummer, it could have been fun for as long as it lasted”

McGregor lost his boxing debut against another legend Floyd Mayweather but lost that bout in the 10th round by KO and wanted to bounce back against Manny but that’s off now.

Conor has been told to focus on the UFC and handle his ‘business’ before think about Pacquiao and the Manny has already moved onto new opposition with the 42 year old already in talks with young boxing sensation Ryan Garcia for an exhibition fight.

Garcia, 22 has also thrown his hat in the ring to say he would possibly fight Conor McGregor in the octagon in coming years.

The way these two sports are mixing with athletes hopping between the two at the drop of a hat is making matchups very interesting.
