Manchester United’s build up to their Premier League game with Newcastle has been thrown into disarray as they return multiple positive COVID tests according to MirrorFootball.

Up to three members of the first team coaching staff who would be working directly with Ole and the squad have tested positive and Manchester United’s AON Training Complex was shut down completely for a deep clean.

A united spokesperson told the Mirror that the training complex is open again today to accommodate their Premier League game with Newcastle which will be unaffected by the outbreak.

It is thought that the staff returned positive tests around the teams Europa League clash with Real Sociedad with multiple tests carried out before and after flights to Turin for the game.

Ole will be joined by Nicky Butt and Mark Dempsey on the bench with the coaches who tested positive not being named.

Will United be able to handle this and go on and win their game against Steve Bruce’s side?

More updates will follow as this story develops.
