Jesse Lingard has been in great form with West Ham this season, having moved to the east London club on loan this season from Manchester United. Gareth Southgate is set to cut seven players from this squad today and it’s been reported that Lingard is one of them. Big call this, along with some other big names set to lose out also, including Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold. Who would want to be the English manager? Such quality in the English squad and hard to keep everyone happy.

If Gareth Southgate can leave player of this quality out of his 23 man squad going to the Euro’s, surely this must make England favourites for the competition?
