Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has explained why he decided to go bald over the summer.
Martial, renowned for being cool as a cucumber on and off the pitch, prompted serious question marks over his style choices by deciding to shave his head bald ahead of his return from injury in pre-season.
Man United fans were stunned to see the Frenchman rock up to training without a hair on his head and were desperately seeking an explanation as to why Martial decided to do it to himself.
They’ve now been given one, from the horse’s mouth, with Martial saying the following to Man United’s media team when quizzed over his motives for going bald.

The 25-year-old had a pretty underwhelming campaign last time around and can no longer use his youth as an excuse as to why he’s not performing on a regular basis.
Perhaps the decision to part ways with his hair was an attempt to freshen things up and try and find his way back to his best performance level.
Only time will tell if the decision is justified by his performances on the pitch – that is, if he’s even able to find his way back into this red-hot Man United frontline.
