Manchester United have announced that Ralf Rangnick WON’T remain at the club in a consultancy capacity beyond the end of the season.
Rangnick stepped in for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the club legend was sacked following a string of disappointing results. The understanding was that the German would get to grips with the dressing room and then move upstairs.
However, in a rather bizarre turn of events, it has now been announced that Rangnick will have absolutely no influence in the future of Manchester United, which has left many scratching their heads – why was he here in the first place?

Rangnick spoke candidly to the media about the deep-rooted issues at Old Trafford. Potentially as a consequence, he has not been allowed to continue in any capacity after Erik ten Hag was appointed as the new club manager.
It does really now feel like wasted time for the club. Considering how poor they were during Rangnick’s stint in the dugout, you wonder why they ever sacked Solskjaer and didn’t just give him the chance to turn it around.
