Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo has been fined £42,000 in Italy over allegations that he used fake documents and bogus parents to push through his move to Europe from the Ivory Coast.
Italian football’s governing body – the FIGC – has handed out the hefty fine after the 18-year-old winger and his brother Hamed accepted a plea bargain to avoid a ban, according to the Daily Mail.
A statement issued by the FIGC said the two players used ‘false certifications that had allowed them to reunite in Italy with fictitious parents’.
United announced the signing of 18-year-old Ivorian winger Amad Diallo from Atalanta in January and the exciting youngster has signed a multi-year contract to the end of June 2025, with the option of an extra year.
