United Fans Warned Over ‘Height Discrimination Chants’ at Old Trafford

According to The Athletic there were emails sent out to fans sitting in a certain section during the Manchester United vs Wolves game at Old Trafford over height chants towards one of the Wolves players.

Manchester United’s email read: “Thank you for your attendance at the Premier League fixture between Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers on 3rd January 2022.

“The club have been made aware that a section of the crowd at this fixture used discriminatory language that was directed towards a Wolverhampton Wanderers player in relation to his height.

“Manchester United is fully committed to ensuring that any form of discriminatory abuse and/or offensive behaviour is eliminated and appropriate action may be taken against any individuals that are identified as participating in discriminatory and/or offensive chanting or behaviour.

The statement also says that if fans “witness this type of prohibited discriminatory or offensive behaviour” they should report it on the club’s website.
