Victor Osimhen has insisted that he is currently happy at Napoli after speculation about a move away from the club has increased as the summer draws closer.
The Nigerian striker has spearheaded the Italian side’s attack all the way to the top of the Serie A as they chase their first Scudetto since 1990.
He has netted 21 goals in just 24 league games and in doing so has made himself one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.
He has been specifically linked to the Premier League with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all reportedly interested in his signature.
But it is Erik ten Hag’s side who seem to be at the front of the queue as they chase a new number nine to replace Wout Weghorst when his loan ends in the summer.
However, the 24-year-old dealt the Manchester club a blow when he insisted that he is happy where he currently is.
‘We are close to the objective and cannot wait to make our dream come true, to make it a reality,’ Osimhen told TG5
‘The players always believed, we always thought we could do something exceptional, even when nobody else believed we could. The affection from the city is extraordinary, I have never received so much love. I can’t wait to celebrate with them at the stadium.
‘I am already at one of the biggest clubs and I could not ask for more. Forza Napoli always!’
