Manchester United fans will HATE what this former player said about Erik ten HagšŸ˜®

Danny Murphy has slammed Erik ten Hag for his reaction to Christian Eriksenā€™s recent injury.

Manchester United easily dispatched Reading in the FA Cup, winning 3-1 and securing their spot in the next round. But they didnā€™t walk away from the game unharmed.

Christian Eriksen had to be subbed off the pitch after a brutal challenge from Andy Carroll sent him to the ground. Fans were worried after the game when they saw the Danish midfielder on crutches and as you can imagine, Ten Hag wasnā€™t pleased.

The Dutch manager slammed Carroll for the tackle and the officials for not immediately sending him off.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Danny Murphy criticised the United manager for constantly ā€˜whinging.ā€™

ā€œIt sounds like heā€™s just winging, whining. Youā€™re in the Premier League!ā€ the former player said.

ā€œAndy Carroll got sent off, by the way, but for a different challenge, he should have got sent off for that one.

ā€œBut the point is, letā€™s give this perspective, we are in a world now where creative attacking players are protected more than ever, more than ever!

ā€œVery rarely do we see bad injuries from bad tackles, very rare, not many, and I think weā€™re in a good place because of that. Iā€™m not saying we should go back to the old days where players can knock seven bells out of each other.

ā€œI just donā€™t see why you would come out and winged about it when itā€™s just a consequence of playing football.

ā€œHeā€™s lost Eriksen and heā€™s disappointed and we donā€™t want to see bad tacklesā€¦ but he is winging, because then he starts bringing up the elbow on [Lisandro] Martinez!

ā€œI donā€™t mind him saying, ā€˜Iā€™m disappointed with the tackle, it was naughty, Carroll should have been sent off, it was a bad, and Iā€™m disappointed for Eriksen, but itā€™s football, it happens, thatā€™s why we have a big squad and weā€™ve got to get on with it.ā€™ā€
