Manchester City are lining up a former Manchester United player to replace Sergio Aguero

Manchester City are reportedly lining up a sensational move for former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku to replace club record top-scorer Sergio Aguero according to the Daily Mail.

Aguero is out of contract this summer and as of now there seems to be no negotiations taking place to try and keep the clubs all time top goalscorer at the club.

Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku seems to be a  is a legitimate target for Manchester City this summer as Pep Guardiola looks to bolster his forward line.

The possibility of the transfer happening is quite high as Inter Milan are in severe financial difficulties at the moment and the money for Lukaku would be very much welcome – provided the price is right.

According to the Financial Times, Inter Milan are in serious financial problems and the club needs and investment of £142 million in order to take the pressure off the club.

Inter are looking to get a cash injection of £142 million in order to keep the Serie A giants afloat and a healthy fee from City would help put a hole in their debt.

Lukaku joined Inter form Manchester United for £74 million in 2019.
