TRANSFERS: Manchester United plotting move for £50m-rated Premier League star

Posted by

Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.

The Red Devils have a star-studded squad. One which has been constructed via heavy financial investment in recent seasons.

However, their midfield is a glaring weakness. The pairing of Fred and Scott McTominay, all due respect, is not good enough to win the Premier League – or even come close.

As a result, you’d expect the club to prioritise a midfield signing over the upcoming transfer windows, especially with Paul Pogba unlikely to renew his contract.

According to a report published by The Sun, Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn is one player who has landed himself on the club’s transfer radar.

McGinn has been phenomenal for Villa in recent seasons, and as per the report, has earned himself a whopping £50m valuation.

That’s a figure that Man United can comfortably afford to pay, and considering their dire need for a new midfielder, they’d be wise to do so.

Whether this transfer will materialise at some point over the upcoming transfer windows, or it’s merely paper talk, is something we’ll have to wait to find out.
