A lot of fans were going mental on twitter over Chris Kavanagh and VAR ruling out Cavani’s goal this evening vs Spurs at Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium. And there was a massive moment in the game, where there was clear goal only to be denied by Scott McTominay’s hand to Son’s face. Would you agree with the call, it’s quite clear that a lot of Manchester United fans didn’t.

Premier League's hapless, pedantic application of VAR ruining games. Accidental by McTominay. No consistency: if you check McTominay on Son, you check Lo Celso on Rashford. Whatever happened to Clear and Obvious? Mike Riley risks making English football a laughing stock. #TOTMUN

Time to scrap VAR. How is it actually improving football? Just makes referees doubt their decisions. Absolutely rubbish.

Supreme play from Pogba and Cavani cancelled due to a McTominay flick to Son's face that was so clearly and obviously a foul that the VAR couldn't decide and Chris Kavanagh needed several replays to make the call that it was bad enough to disallow the goal, but not for a yellow

This is a massive game for Tottenham Hotspur as they need to get into that all important top four spot and Champions League football that comes with it for next season.
