Man United striker set for summer exit with next destination already decided

Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani has reportedly decided he wants to quit the Red Devils and move back to South America to play for Boca Juniors.

Cavani, 34, joined United on a free transfer on deadline day during last season’s summer transfer window, as per ManUtd.

Since arriving in Manchester and although he’s been hampered with COVID-19 protocols and a series of injuries, the experienced forward has done well – All things considered.

After being awarded the infamous number-seven shirt, Cavani has netted six Premier League goals in just nine starts.

However, after being signed on a one-year deal with the option to extend it by a further year, there is growing speculation that the 34-year-old may move on at the end of the season.

According to a recent report from outlet Ole (no reference to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer), Cavani has already made the decision to end his time at Old Trafford.

The report claims the Urguguyan has opted to join Argentinian side Boca Juniors, where he will sign a three-year contract.

One source, reportedly someone from Cavani’s entourage, said: “In July he’s at Boca, that’s the idea.

“Unless there’s a mistake, that’s it.

“He’s decided to return now and he has decided that it’s Boca.”
