Manchester United’s major Jadon Sancho transfer mistake has been revealed

The Athletic have detailed a MAJOR transfer mistake made by Manchester United back in the summer transfer window of 2019.

Man United yesterday announced that they have struck a deal with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jadon Sancho, much to the relief to everyone, who was forced to sit through 12 months of transfer speculation. It grew old.

The Athletic have now revealed that Man United could have signed and sealed a deal for Sancho much earlier – in 2019, in fact – but decided that the deal was too complex and abandoned their pursuit of the Englishman.

Daniel James has struggled to convince at Manchester United

It’s difficult to imagine the deal would have been any more difficult to pull off then than it was this summer, but regardless, Man United made the decision to pursue other options – specifically Swansea City’s Dan James.

As per The Athletic, James was signed as an alternative to Sancho which represents woefully bad business by Man United, who have been forced to rectify their mistake two years down the line.
