Paul Scholes was very impressed by Manchester United’s performance at the Nou Camp on Thursday evening.
The Red Devils clashed with Barcelona in a titanic matchup in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
Both teams battled it out with the game ending 2-2 after a stellar second half that produced four goals. Erik ten Hag has well and truly turned things around at Old Trafford and their performance against the La Liga leaders proved far they have come.
Former player, Scholes was blown away by the performance and heaped praise onto the team in the aftermath.
‘I think they would have been before the game (happy with a draw) but if you look at the way the game went, the chances they created, I thought United were really good tonight, second half especially.’ he said.
‘What a game to watch, so exciting. There wasn’t a breath taken, both teams really going for it. A bit of a throwback really when you look at it.
‘Ten Hag said they were going to go for it and he was right. I don’t think this is an amazing Barcelona team but this game is now perfectly set up for next Thursday night.
‘They look a proper team now.’
